Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS)
Effective classroom management and
preventive school discipline are essential for supporting teaching and
learning. The District utilizes a pro-active approach in defining,
teaching, and supporting appropriate student behavior in order to
create a positive school environment. Positive Behavioral Interventions
and Supports (PBIS) is a framework to assist school personnel in
adopting and organizing evidence-based behavioral interventions into an
integrated continuum that enhances academic and social behavior
outcomes for all students.
