Universal Prekindergarten Program
Universal Pre-kindergarten (UPK) is a New York State funded program specifically designed for four-year-olds not eligible for kindergarten.UPK is a developmentally appropriate, learner-centered educational program to help four-year-olds develop physically, socially, emotionally, linguistically, culturally and intellectually. The program has a strong emphasis on early literacy and early numeracy to help prepare children for kindergarten.Basic eligibility requirements:
- must be a Clarence School District resident
- child must be 4 years old by December 1 of the school year
2018-19 School YearFor our incoming students that will turn 4 years old by December 1, 2018,applications will be available on March 5, 2018 starting at 6:00 pm.You can pick up an application at our Parent Info Night or complete it online starting March 5 after 6:00pm.Applications are due by March 29, and the lottery will take place on April 9.If your child receives placement, the due date for acceptance or decline is April 25.Parent Info NightOn Monday March 5, 2018, at 6:00pm, we will be hosting a Parent Info Night, where you can meet with the directors of our UPK Providers and ask questions.
2017-18 School YearOur waitlist is still active for the current school year.
