Universal Prekindergarten Program
Universal Pre-kindergarten (UPK) is a New York State funded program specifically designed for four-year-olds not eligible for kindergarten.UPK is a developmentally appropriate, learner-centered educational program to help four-year-olds develop physically, socially, emotionally, linguistically, culturally, and intellectually. The program has a strong emphasis on early literacy and early numeracy to help prepare children for kindergarten.Basic eligibility requirements:
- must be a Clarence School District resident
- child must be 4 years old by December 1 of the school year
2020-21 School Year
We will be holding an Open House at District Office/Clarence High School on Monday March 9, 2020 at 6:00 pm, providing parents with an opportunity to meet with all of our UPK Providers, ask questions, and complete the application on site.
Please note, the Open House will take place in the Auditorium and Cafeteria.
Please use the main high school entrance.
The application will be online from March 9, 5:00 pm until April 6, 8:00 am.
