ABOUT THE TEACHER: Thank you for taking the time to visit my webpage. This is my eighth year teaching and second year in the Clarence Central School District. I am overjoyed to be teaching KINDERGARTEN this year!Over the past eight years, I have taught kindergarten, second, and third grade as a classroom teacher, K-2 as an RTI Math Interventionist, 2-4 Gifted and Talented, 5th grade Reading, and 7th grade English Language Arts. I also seved as an adjunct professor at Buffalo State teaching a Practicum in Gifted, Talented, and Creative Education and Elementary Mathematics at the Master's level.I grew up in Western New York in East Amherst and always knew that I wanted to be a teacher. After graduating high school, I attended Canisius College where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood/Childhood Education with a concentration in History. During that time, I student taught at Clarence Center Elementary School. I learned quickly that the people are what make Clarence great. The teachers, administrators, staff, students, parents, and community share a vision which couples academic excellence with character. I continued at Canisius to obtain my Masters of Science in Differentiated Instruction. After seven years working in different places in a variety of roles, I made my way back to the District that gave me the BEST start to my career. It is truly an honor to be here.I am married and have two beautiful elementary-aged children of my own. While I will always consider WNY home, our family lives in Canada! The first thing people ask how long it takes me to get to work: 47 minutes without snow.I look forward to a great year! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
