Joan Printup Hummel
- Physical Education teacher at Clarence High School for 33 years
- Instrumental in creating many of the programs for Girl's Athletics
- Started the Girls Tennis Program in 1973
- Started the Girls Track Program in 1974
- Coached Varsity Tennis for 28 years
- Overall record 244 wins - 131 losses
- Won 8 league titles in Tennis
- Coached 479 girls in Tennis throughout her tenure
- Coached Varsity Track for three years with a record of 21 wins - 1 loss
- Won 2 league title in Track
- Created the Girl's Intramural Program for 33 years from 1968 - 2001
- In 2002, received the ECIC 30 year service award.
- Former National Swim Champion as a youth
- Appeared on ABC's Wide World of Sports
- Owns four state senior championships in New York and Florida.
- In 2008, she set a new state record in Florida for the 50 meter butterfly

- In the final play of the Championship football game with East Aurora in 1961, George out-rebounded everyone on a blocked field goal attempt and ran 95 yards for a touchdown with no time left on the clock.
- The play earned Clarence its 1st league championship and 1st undefeated season
