• Meet Mrs. Heard

I am very excited to be working with both you and your child. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about my background.

I have been teaching at Ledgeview Elementary since 2005.  I have lived in Clarence all my life and I absolutely adored my years in the Clarence School District.  Participating in various sports and community activities has given me many memorable experiences in this town.  In May of 2004, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Geneseo with a certification in Elementary and Special Education.  In August of 2006, I completed my masters in the Literacy Specialist Program at the University of Buffalo.  Through this program, I earned two reading certifications (birth to grade 6 and grade 5 to grade 12).  Since then, I have and will continue to participate in many Professional Development opportunities in order to further my learning and remain up to date with best teaching practices.

    On a personal note...

I live in Williamsville with my husband and two young children, Zachary and Aubrey.  Zachary is a happy, energetic boy, who loves anything that has to do with trucks or diggers. Aubrey is my sweet little angel, who is always entertained by her brother's crazy antics :).  I grew up in an energetic family with one older brother and a younger brother and sister; they were students in the Clarence School District as well.  My family was very big into sports, especially soccer. I enjoy reading, playing outside with my children, taking dance classes, and visiting with family and friends.

I am very excited to learn more about your family!
