•   Mr. Floss Rock Climbing Adirondacks About the Teacher:  Hello, my name is Kevin Floss and I have been a teacher with Clarence Central Schools since 1997.  I spent 13 years teaching 5th grade at Clarence Center Elementary, 2 years as the Enrichment Teacher at Clarence Center and Harris Hill, and 1 year teaching 5th grade at Harris Hill Elementary. This will be my 7th year teaching 5th grade at Ledgeview Elementary and 23rd year overall.

The Clarence Central School District has always been an important part of my life. I attended Clarence Center Elementary from kindergarten to sixth grade.  After graduating from Clarence High School, I went to Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania.  I majored in elementary education and played four years of NCAA Division 2 soccer.  I received a master's degree in elementary education from the University of Buffalo in 2001. After all these years, I am very happy to be teaching and learning back where it all started!

In addition to teaching, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two sons, traveling, and mountain climbing.  I have been to 44 states, 6 Canadian provinces, Iceland, New Zealand, Ireland, France, Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands.  I do most of my climbing in the Adirondacks, White Mountains, Rocky Mountains, and Cascade Range.  I am also a NYSDEC licensed rock climbing, ice climbing, and hiking guide in the Adirondacks.
