Goals:
Science Olympiad is an organization that promotes science at its best. Science Olympiad is a national non-profit organization that works to improve the quality of science education, by increasing opportunity and diversity in science for its student members and teacher advisors. This is achieved by its members, our students, who will participate in events/competitions at Science Olympiad tournaments where students compete against other schools in western New York and State wide-on specific science-related topics. These tournaments foster the building of strong knowledge in science and its application. Our group provides one of the few platforms for doing science in different content areas outside of the classroom and also provides much needed recognition of outstanding student achievement in science. College Science programs are looking for students who show interest in science outside the classroom and Science Olympiad provides this. We are one of the few science-based club organizations that give students the opportunity to experience science and is not just technically oriented.
