• French 4 Honors (French 112 – SUNY)

    This Advanced Studies course in partnership with SUNY-ECC allows students to earn 3.5 credits for a university level course, French 112. The objectives of this course are to develop extensive French vocabulary and conversational skills. While reinforcing the fundamentals of French grammar, there is great emphasis on studying the cultures of the French-speaking world through exploration of literature and language studies. Students are actively learning through projects and presentations in various cultural units.

    French 5 Honors (French 205 – SUNY)

    This Advanced Studies course in partnership with SUNY-ECC allows students to earn 3 credits for a university level course, French 205. The objectives of this course are to strengthen the four key skills in language usage: reading, writing, listening and speaking.  This senior-level course prepares enthusiastic students for future opportunities in French or allows individual pursuing other career fields to save both time and money in working towards college graduation requirements now.  Projects, readings and class discussions involving both classic literature and current topics will allow students to further communication abilities and French language and cultural knowledge.

    If you need to look up a vocabulary term, use the online dictionary at WordReference.  Unlike translators that just give you one term, this dictionary gives you several choices with examples of how they are used.  The odds are significantly higher that you'll get the term you want.
