The Primary Self-Contained program is designed to meet student’s individual academic, social, and emotional needs and follows each child’s IEP (Individual Education Plan). It is an academic based program with an emphasis on building language and teaching strategies for students to utilize for years to come.
A child’s first years in school are busy and full of exploration and discovery. This is a vital time to teach students that learning is FUN! Their education includes not only academics, but also making new friends, peer interactions, playing, respecting themselves and others, and realizing that they are in control of their choices and actions. All areas of learning are taught in a multi-modal method through books, writing, music, movement, poems, etc. to increase learning and memorization. We are creating a platform of skills and making connections with academics that can last a lifetime.
