YOUTH PEER ADVOCATES
WHAT IS A YOUTH PEER ADVOCATE?
Youth Peer Advocates are trained professionals who have personally received mental health services and/or addiction treatment services. They will provide information,
one-on-one support, validation, and hope to youth and their families as they navigate the mental health care system.
Youth Peer Advocates facilitate support groups for youth 13-26 years old in Erie County and are available to meet with youth one-on-one by appointment.
They also provide peer support to youth receiving inpatient treatment at Erie County Medical Center, Western New York Children's Psychiatric Center, Baker Victory Services, and BryLin Hospital.
