    Dear Parents, Students, and Families,

We hope that this finds you all healthy and safe as you persevere through these challenging and very different times.  We are so grateful for all that you have done and continue to do to keep the learning going at home.  We know that it isn’t easy or ideal and we all wish we could be safely back at school, finishing this school year together.

Please use this cover sheet and the pages that follow as the guide for your child’s work throughout the end of this school year.  We have provided work in Reading, Writing, Math, and Science... to make it familiar for your child, the format is similar to the previous packets you received.  The main difference this time is that the focus is on new instruction.  We have video links that support some of the new topics, especially in Science.  Reading and Writing are going to rely heavily upon using the website Epic as it allows us to easily share the materials your child will need to read to complete the work. We'd like you to know that as of the end of May, we will have covered every topic that was presented in our math book.  We sent you resources that did not look like our math book, but the topics and goals were the same.  The final new math material will begin the week of May 18th.  Again, we are so grateful for all that you are doing at home.   As always, what’s most important is finding balance and just striving to do the best that you can.

Teachers continue to be available by email so please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns with the assigned work.  Answer keys are included for the math work we've asked the students to do.  These keys are to help make things easier for you!

Thank you once again for your support!  If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s teacher using the email listed below.  Stay safe and enjoy your family time together!

    Dear Parents and Students,

Thank you for your tireless efforts at home!  We know that many of you are working from home, managing multiple packets of instruction for more than one child, and being so flexible and supportive at this very challenging time.  We hope that this finds you all healthy and well!  We have enjoyed interacting with your children through our Google Meets.  It’s not the same as being at school, but it brightens our days to see those smiling faces!  Please use this cover sheet and the pages that follow as the guide for your child’s work throughout the next four weeks. (We were asked to prepare a month’s worth of work, we have no information about when we will be returning to school.)  We have provided work in Reading, Writing, and Math...the format is similar to the first packet you received, with some changes to Writing and Math.  In Math, students will have experiences with content that has not yet been covered in third grade, however, they have been exposed to it in prior grade levels.  There are video links below to support you and your child with these concepts.  As always, what’s most important is finding balance and just striving to do the best that you can.  That’s what we’re all doing!  Reach out and let us know what we can do to support you and your child!

    The Third Grade Team,

Mrs. Bradley, Mrs. Fox, Mrs. Grant, and Miss Tanski

    March 17, 2020

    Dear Parents and Students,

Thank you for being so flexible and supportive at this very challenging time.  First, we hope that this finds you all healthy and well! We already miss seeing your children...please let them know that we are thinking about them each day that we are apart!  Second, please use this cover sheet and the pages that follow as the guide for your child’s work throughout the next four weeks. We have provided review work in Reading, Writing, and Math...there is no new information which will need to be taught by you.  We are hoping to have the students maintain the skills taught to them prior to this unique situation. Please do the best that you can!

All of the necessary materials for home instruction can be downloaded as a PDF here.  Packet for home instruction

Teachers will be available by email (addresses available below) during the next few weeks; please feel free to reach out to us if you have any global or general questions or concerns with the assigned work.  If your child gets stuck on one question or if you do not understand one isolated question, etc., please note that on the paper. We've included answer keys for most of the math work we've asked the students to do.  These keys are to help make things easier for you!  We will review your child’s work when we all return to school.

Thank you once again for your support!  If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s teacher using the email listed below.  Stay safe and enjoy your family time together!
