Communication - ParentSquare

Clarence Central School District is using ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text, and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.  This is also available for students and they must use their school email address to log in.

• Go to www.parentsquare.com 
• Under the Register Section, type in your email that is on file in PowerSchool and click “Get Started”
• An email will be sent with password reset instructions. Remember to check your spam folder too.
  If you don’t receive the email, it is likely that the email entered is not the email that is on file in PowerSchool. Contact your student's building office to update your email address.

YES, you should register your account. The district will begin to utilize ParentSquare for forms and other types of submissions. It is also beneficial if you would like to choose when you receive messages (Daily Digest or Instantly) or interact with the person who is sending messages.

I’m not getting any messages at all, why not?

There are a few possibilities:

• The school does not have your correct contact information. Contact your student's building office.

• The same phone number or email address is used for both parents, so only one parent is getting the messages.

• You have turned off all the modes of communication in your ParentSquare account.

• Check your SPAM folder.

Users can change their notification frequency for posts: you can receive them instantly (when they are posted) or as a Digest at 6 p.m.

• All posts would be sent in one email at 6 pm. each night

• If the user with the Digest setting turned on looks at the app or web browser, they will see the posts

• The Digest user will still receive emergency communications instantly sent by Smart Alert or when a user sends a post instantly

• Messages, communication directed to smaller groups or individuals, are sent instantly

Here are the notification directions

The invites we send from ParentSquare will look like this:

Web Portal:

1. Log into ParentSquare on a website browser
2. Click the down arrow next to your name in the upper right corner
3. Select My Account
4. Click Language Settings in the left-hand sidebar
5. Choose your preferred language from the drop-down menu
6. Click Save to confirm your selection

Mobile App:

1. Open the ParentSquare app
2. Tap the three horizontal lines at the top of the home page
3. Tap My Account
4. Tap Preferences
5. Tap Language
6. Select your preferred language
