Welcome to First Grade!
First grade is a year full of growth and development. I love witnessing those moments when a child suddenly realizes that they've 'got it'. It is so exciting to watch the children learn and grow.
Our year promises to be full of challenges and discoveries as the children learn new skills and concepts. They will grow as readers and writers, deepen their understanding of the world around them, learn to be mathematicians and scientists, and create their own classroom community.
I strive to create a classroom environment that encourages each child to reach their potential. I hope that your child finds my room to be a place where they feel nurtured, challenged, and successful. I want my first graders to feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and making mistakes. Those are all part of the learning process.
