    About the Teacher: 

    ANDREW BODEMER is currently in his 23rd year of music teaching for the 2022-2023 school year.  During his career, he has been responsible for a variety of bands and ensembles at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.  He has been employed at the Clarence Central School District (NY) for the past twenty-one years, serving for a lengthy time as the band director at Clarence Center Elementary and Sheridan Hill Elementary.  Mr. Bodemer has enjoyed the past five years at Clarence Middle School where he is teaching 6-8 brass lessons and the select 7-8 Symphonic Band.  In addition, he teaches brass lessons at Harris Hill Elementary, directs the Clarence Middle School Jazz Ensemble, and leads the Clarence High School Marching Band.

    Mr. Bodemer is a 1997 graduate of Corning West High School (NY).  He went on to earn his Bachelor of Music, graduating summa cum laude, from the State University of New York College at Fredonia in 2000.  He later earned his Master of Music from the University of Connecticut in 2004.  As an active member of ECMEA and NYSSMA, he has been honored with several opportunities to guest conduct and adjudicate for festival evaluations and performances.  Mr. Bodemer is also a trombonist and he performs throughout the Western New York region.  He currently serves as the low brass section leader of the Erie County Wind Ensemble.  Mr. Bodemer maintains a small teaching studio for trombone and euphonium.  Past students have successfully auditioned for prestigious camps, ensembles, and schools.  He resides in Getzville, NY with his wife Nicole and their sons Oliver and Hugo.
