ABOUT THE TEACHER: Thank you for taking the time to visit my webpage. This is my eighth year teaching and second year in the Clarence Central School District. I am overjoyed to be teaching KINDERGARTEN this year!
Over the past eight years, I have taught kindergarten, second, and third grade as a classroom teacher, K-2 as an RTI Math Interventionist, 2-4 Gifted and Talented, 5th grade Reading, and 7th grade English Language Arts. I also seved as an adjunct professor at Buffalo State teaching a Practicum in Gifted, Talented, and Creative Education and Elementary Mathematics at the Master's level.
I grew up in Western New York in East Amherst and always knew that I wanted to be a teacher. After graduating high school, I attended Canisius College where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood/Childhood Education with a concentration in History. During that time, I student taught at Clarence Center Elementary School. I learned quickly that the people are what make Clarence great. The teachers, administrators, staff, students, parents, and community share a vision which couples academic excellence with character. I continued at Canisius to obtain my Masters of Science in Differentiated Instruction. After seven years working in different places in a variety of roles, I made my way back to the District that gave me the BEST start to my career. It is truly an honor to be here.
I am married and have two beautiful elementary-aged children of my own. While I will always consider WNY home, our family lives in Canada! The first thing people ask how long it takes me to get to work: 47 minutes without snow.
I look forward to a great year! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
