Clarence High School students and staff shared their enthusiasm for inclusion as they were featured in a local news segment previewing the 2025 Buffalo Cool School Polar Plunge.

During the segment for WIVB-TV (Channel 4), students and staff recognized the wide-ranging classes and activities that bring students of different abilities together, from unified classes and clubs to athletic teams in bowling and basketball.

Last year, the Clarence Central School District's team raised more than $34,000 and was the top performing team in the regional event, which raises money for inclusive activities offered through Special Olympics New York.

The 2025 Buffalo Cool School Polar Plunge event has school teams from across the area taking a dip into the frigid waters of Lake Erie during the December 5 event at Woodlawn Beach State Park. A wider community event will be held on December 6.
