Clarence High School Names Top Three Students of Class of 2025
Clarence High School’s Guidance and Counseling Office has announced the top three students of the school’s Class of 2025, recognizing years of hard work and accomplishment in their academics.
Gemma Hacker was named class valedictorian, Laura Kreher was named salutatorian and Adriana Colafranceschi was the third-highest ranked student.
Gemma said receiving the recognition was “a celebration for all of us.” The three students have had multiple classes together during their time at the High School, and all three played on the varsity tennis team their freshman and sophomore years.
“I think it just reflects the hard work we’ve all done,” Gemma said. “It’s not as competitive as people think. It’s just supporting each other through it all.”
Gemma’s time in Clarence began at Clarence Center Elementary School, while Laura first attended Harris Hill Elementary School and Adriana began her studies in Clarence at Ledgeview Elementary School. Gemma, whose college decision is not finalized, said she would like to study political science. Laura said she plans to study agriculture science at Cornell University. Adriana said she plans to study biochemistry, but is finalizing her college decision.
“They’re just awesome kids and they have been great to work with,” said Principal Kenneth Smith. “They’re involved in so many things and they’ve really shown some serious resilience. To make the top three is a pretty amazing accomplishment.”
Clarence High School’s graduation is scheduled for June 26. More information about the three and other top performing students of Clarence High School’s Class of 2025 will be shared with the community this summer as part of the District’s Graduation Newsletter.
