Clarence Middle School Students Bring Inspirational Figures To Life at Wax Museum Event
It’s not often that pop culture icons like Taylor Swift, Josh Allen and Bob Ross share a room with historical figures like Benjamin Franklin, Leonardo Da Vinci and Neil Armstrong, but the power of students’ imaginations and research brought these people together at the Living Wax Museum at Clarence Middle School.
Sixth graders at the school took time to select and learn about their selected person, visiting the school’s library to help with their research. With their research complete, the students spent the day on March 6 interacting with fellow students and families in full costume. When greeted by visitors to the museum, students would share information about their figure’s life and inspirations.
“It really lets them roll with their imaginations,” said teacher Jessica Mohr, who helped plan the event. “They’re so excited about the person they get to represent. Every sixth grader is involved.”
Some of the other memorable and historic figures seen during the day included comic book creator Stan Lee, president George Washington, “Spider-Man” actor Tom Holland, composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, actor and wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, author Dr. Seuss, and baseball legend Babe Ruth.
