Jack Hesslink All-Elementary Track Meet Brings Clarence Students Together
Updated

Students gave their all as they sprinted down the track, leaped as far as they could and passed the baton to their teammates at the annual Jack Hesslink All-Elementary Track Meet.

The track meet, in its 69th year, features a wide range of running races and relays to go with events like high jump, long jump and softball throw. Every student in grades 3-5 was invited to participate, with hundreds of students from Clarence Center Elementary School, Harris Hill Elementary School, Ledgeview Elementary School and Sheridan Hill Elementary School filling the track at Clarence High School on May 20.

Students and staff showed their school spirit as they wore their school’s colors to compete during the annual event. The event is named for former physical education teacher and athletic director Jack E. Hesslink.

Thank you to all of the students, staff, families, community members and volunteers who made this year's event a success!
