The bright colors and sounds of the world of Dr. Seuss sprung to life at Ledgeview Elementary School, as students staged the school’s first musical, “Seussical KIDS”

“It has been a joy and grace to work with students and staff, bringing out and developing the talents and gifts of the students,” said Daniel Denecke, a music teacher who worked with teachers Julia DiNoto, Olivia Diebel, and Cheryl Tachine to help students stage the production. “Listening to and watching students sing, act, and dance their hearts out is ‘something like heaven, Solla Sollew.’”

More than 60 students in the cast and crew worked on the production, taking audiences to the Jungle of Nool and Solla Sollew, featuring beloved characters like the Cat in the Hat, Jojo, and Horton the Elephant.

The students’ work culminated in shows for fellow students as well as families at the school through the day on Friday, March 13.
