VIDEO: Clarence High School Class of 2026 Commended at Graduation

The accomplishments, as well as the values, of students in Clarence High School’s Class of 2026 were recognized as students celebrated their graduation.

“This class has left its mark on Clarence High School. You have led with integrity, supported one another through challenges, celebrated each other's successes, and helped build a school community defined by kindness, respect, and pride,” said Assistant Principal Julie Mampe. “You have grown into leaders, role models, and outstanding young adults. And we could not be prouder of you. It has been a privilege to watch you grow through your high school journey.”

A total of 308 students graduated during the school’s commencement  ceremony on June 26, 2026. Students crossing the stage were introduced by teachers selected by the students, with selected teachers and staff members reflecting the District’s elementary schools, Clarence Middle School as well as the High School. 

Dr. Matt Frahm, Clarence Central School District Superintendent of Schools, challenged students to take risks and be willing to fail in pursuit of a meaningful goal.

“The qualities that have made you successful here in Clarence, your intelligence, your work ethic, your compassion, and your commitment to others will serve you well on what other path it is you choose to follow,” he said. “Thank you for the legacy that you leave behind and for the example that you have set for students who will follow you.”

Student speakers include National Honor Society President Andrew Cappelluci, Class of 2026 President Christopher Cappellucci, Student Council President Brendan Swain, Salutatorian Ella Celej and Valedictorian Breanna Lukacz.

Lukacz spoke appreciating the little moments in between the memorable firsts and lasts of the school experience.

“Luckily, we're not supposed to have everything figured out tonight,” she said. “We're just supposed to trust that all the things that brought us here, the people and the moments, will also carry us into whatever comes next. And maybe that's what makes tonight worth remembering.”

James Boglioli, Board of Education President, encouraged students to be resilient in the face of challenges, and to not let others’ opinions determine their worth. 

“As you step into the next phase of your journey, whether it's college, a career, the military, a gap year, or something entirely unexpected, you will meet people who question your choices, who underestimate your abilities, who simply don't understand your dreams,” Boglioli said. “Let them talk, let them doubt, let them underestimate you, and then let your actions, your work, your integrity, your courage speak for you.”
