VIDEO: Clarence High School Launches Leadership Academy
The new Clarence High School Leadership Academy is now accepting current ninth graders for its inaugural class in the 2026-27 school year. Students can sign-up for the initial course in the Academy, “Effective Communication,” as well as other elective offerings for next year.
The three-year program will provide students the opportunity to learn a wide range of leadership skills that will benefit them at school and in the community. In addition to Effective Communication, there is one required course in 11th and 12th grade as well. Students can choose from a variety of other electives each year as part of the academy’s requirements.
The Leadership Academy joins the two other existing academy programs at the High School, the Academy of Business and Finance and Academy of Visual and Performing Arts. The academy experiences are designed to help students find and develop their passions and talents through themed subject matter and project-based learning.
