Updated

Clarence High School’s Class of 2024 was celebrated for their hard work and their positive outlook of the world as their commencement was cheered by the Clarence school community.

Dr. Matthew Frahm, superintendent of the Clarence Central School District, said that the challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic could have left students isolated or feeling sorry for themselves.

“Instead, however, they've distinguished themselves as a group of incredibly proud students, proud of their HS and community, deeply connected to one another and committed to celebrating life's most important moments,” he said.

The 313 graduates at the district’s 152nd Commencement ceremony on June 29 were recognized for achievement in the classroom, in the arts and in extracurriculars like athletics.

The student speakers at the ceremony were Katherine Cappellucci of the National Honor Society, Isabella Insinna from the Class of 2024, Louis Mancuso from the Student Council, along with salutatorian Annika Singh and valedictorian Justin Fan. The day also included a performance by members of the high school’s chorus.

We wish the best of luck to our Class of 2024 as they pursue their future goals. Congratulations to all of the graduates and their families.
