What is the Academy of Business and Finance? 
The Academy of Business and Finance is an interdisciplinary curriculum designed for students in grades 10-12 to explore the world of business. Students receive a theme-based curriculum along with a work-based learning curriculum. The program is designed to connect students with the world of financial services, business-related careers, and prepare them for two and four year college degree programs. The program is affiliated with the national program called NAF and upon completion of the program, students graduate from the program with a national certificate. 
 
What is NAF?
NAF is a leader in the movement to prepare young people for college and career success. For over 40 years, NAF has refined a proven educational model which includes industry-focused curricula and work-based learning experience. The NAF curriculum is developed by industry and educational experts and widely recognized as leading educational reform.

The Internship Experience
In the summer after their junior year, all Academy of Business and Finance students participate in internships with area businesses.  Internships are compensated positions and in some cases the jobs can continue through the school year on a part-time basis. In addition to earning valuable real-world experiences, internships can serve as a key element of a solid college application
