Ledgeview PTO 2023-2024
Welcome to Ledgeview PTO! We are pleased to serve our parents and school community. You are invited to become a part of the numerous opportunities available through the PTO. Our volunteers are active and, if you are not already involved, we urge you to speak to any of our board members. Participating is a great way to enhance your children’s experiences at Ledgeview. We know that the support of our parents makes our already special school even better! Remember, all parents are members of the PTO and everyone’s contribution is always welcome!
Our PTO Meetings are held twice a year in the Fall and Spring and are attended by parents, teacher representatives and our principal, Mr. Kuwik. Through these meetings, we are able to discuss and plan activities that will result in increased learning opportunities for our students and staff.
Events are held throughout the year and activities have included school pictures, a holiday shop for students to buy gifts, and activity nights. In the spring, we have hosted a candy sale and the ever popular Scholastic Book Fair. The profits raised from these events are used for various purposes, including field trips, school beautification, staff appreciation activities, 5th grade promotion, take-home folders...just to name a few!
Another way to get involved is through our family events. The PTO sponsors a variety of ever-evolving events which have included a Fall Festival, Talent Show, Color-A-Thon, and Fun Days! In order for events like these to occur, we need you! We need you to chair these events. We need you to volunteer for these events! Please talk with a board member and see how you can bring your expertise and/or time to organizing these events!
As you can see, the PTO is responsible for coordinating and raising funds for many activities, events and other value-added programs throughout the year. We can only be successful with your support and involvement. Please keep in mind that any amount of time you can offer is greatly appreciated!
In addition to speaking with any of our board members and committee chairs, you can also learn about PTO happenings in the Weekly Update and on Social Media. Please be sure to add your email address to our distribution list!. Our goal to “go green” has been a success through the use of email! You can find us on Facebook at Ledgeview PTO. There is also a PTO bulletin board for you to visit in the main hall of the school.
