Dismissal Pick-Up Procedures

For the safety and security of your children, all students will be transported home on their designated bus unless the school has been notified, in writing, of alternate plans (i.e. permission to ride bicycles or walk, permission to be picked up by another person).

Parents must contact the Transportation Department (704-9500/407-9501) with any changes. Any changes in a bus must be for five days, and an alternate transportation form should be completed.  Please keep the office informed of these changes with a written note.  Any play dates need to be arranged after the children are bussed home. 

  1. The designated car rider pick-up area is at the gymnasium pick-up loop.  Please review the traffic pattern map.  Please be alert and drive safely in school roadways. 
  2. Enter the north parking lot, following through to the small loop.  Traffic will flow the same way as drop off in the morning.  
  3. Students enter vehicles on the passenger side only.
  4. Staff escorts all students so there is no need for drivers to exit vehicles. 
  5. Vehicles picking up students must display the pick-up tag provided by the school for the dashboard.
  6. Students will only be released to authorized individuals.  Identification may be requested so please have a photo ID with you or your designated drivers. 
  7. Picking up students prior to dismissal is highly discouraged and is only acceptable in the event of a family emergency.
  8. Walking parents need to wait for children by the gymnasium doors.  Visitors may not enter the building at this time.
