BREAKING NEWS: We LOVE Your Children!
Dear Clarence School Family,
In all seriousness, on behalf of our entire faculty and staff, let me say how wonderful it has been to have your sons and daughters back in school this past week. Their energy has been infectious, and we don’t take for granted how lucky we are to play a role in their development as thinkers, performers, athletes, and artists.
Transportation Department Message
For school districts our size, it typically takes a few days to smooth out details involving bus pick-ups and drop-offs. Members of our Transportation Department have been working with families and principals throughout the week, and they wanted to share how much they have appreciated everyone’s patience. If there are significant delays in the future, we would encourage you to call the District’s busing hotline (716-407-9251) for updates and helpful information. Additionally, we want to remind you that you can track your child’s bus by using the MY STOP app. (Click here for directions.)
Weekly COVID Report
Each Friday, we will send out a COVID report with weekly data involving positive case counts as well as the number of individuals identified as close contacts. Below you will see the report from this past week.
- 4 individuals from Clarence High School tested positive, 3 close contacts
- 2 individuals from Sheridan Hill Elementary School tested positive, 0 close contacts
- Note: JV Football on “pause” for unvaccinated athletes due to 1 positive case
Over the past few weeks, our Technology Department has been working on a plan for refreshing our District website. In the next few days, you will notice a different design to our homepage, and later this fall we will be reorganizing how we communicate key information to our parents and guardians. We hope that you will continue to use our website as an important resource, and we encourage you to reach out if you can’t find something you are looking for.
We Asked, You Answered!
The start of school is always a big deal, and we wanted to say thanks to the more than 400 parents and guardians who emailed us copies of their “1st day photos.” We know that each child is someone’s whole world, and we stand committed to making sure the Clarence Central School District continues to be a place where everyone belongs.
