COVID Reminders from the Health Office

Below is the list of COVID symptoms from the CDC. If your child exhibits any of these, please keep them home.  If symptoms last longer than 24 hours or get worse then see below for return to school. 

  • Fever or chills- test/note/10 days required for any fever above 100.0F
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus.

Returning to School

There are three ways a student can return to school after experiencing COVID-19 symptoms:

  • Provide a negative NAAT (PCR) test available at one of these testing centers (click here), OR
  • Provide a doctor’s note with an alternative diagnosis, OR
  • Stay out of school for 10 days since the onset of symptoms
