Snow Day (Monday, November 21, 2022)

Dear Clarence School Family,

Unfortunately, I am writing to let you know that the Clarence Central School District will be closed tomorrow, Monday, November 21. (This includes all classes, athletic activities, and extracurricular programming.) While Clarence did not receive the same amount of snow that many of our neighbors experienced, there continues to be a regional impact from the storm. We have spent the morning analyzing where our teachers and support staff come in from, and we simply have too many individuals driving from areas that have been paralyzed by the snow as well as the resulting travel bans and advisories.

Please know this is not a decision we have made lightly, and that we understand all school cancellations create childcare hardships for many of our families. We are optimistic that we will be able to safely re-open on Tuesday, but I wanted to give parents as much notice as possible in case they need to make arrangements for their kids.

I hope this finds you safe, warm, and getting ready for the start of the Bills game.
