Sheridan Hill Fundraiser for Oishei Children's Hospital
Throughout the month of April, Sheridan Hill students donated cans and bottles to raise money for the Oishei Children's Hospital. This idea was thought up of by four third grade students in Mrs. Harris' class. These girls proposed the idea to their principal, created posters, drop off boxes, and promoted the campaign on morning announcements. They also collected the recyclables and returned them for the profit. A total of 7,038 cans were recycled. At this week's Good Morning Sheridan Hill, the girls presented a check for $351.90 to nurses from Oishei Children's Hospital. The money will go to help the patients in the NICU at the hospital.
